I watched a Ted Talk on “AstroTurfing”, which I must admit was a new word. It pertains to very sophisticated companies that prepare authentic “exposes” on products or people that are biased opinions. Just like AstroTurf, it appears real but at its core is false.
Kind of reminded me about the golf equipment industry and many its product claims. There is one “person” you can trust. It’s that round white thing we play golf with. When subjected to equipment, its performance is always the truth.
